Treatment Room
All nurses within the team are very experienced; in addition to routine nursing care, complex dressings, contraception, sexual health screening and cervical smears, the nurses also provide comprehensive care for patients with long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes.
Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement, dressings, spirometry (lung function test) and smoking cessation advice. They also carry out NHS health checks (click here for further information). They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
